Valuable International Experience Earned

This is the second instalment of the IKWC and it has already set itself as one of the biggest kickboxing world cups with over 3,500 entries from all over the world!

BMA Clondalkin was only able to field one athlete this time round with 13 year old Louise Shortt competing in the PF OC -50kg & LC OC -50kg divisions along with coach Kym Fitzgerald taking charge of the coaching duties for the event.

Unfortunately there was no podium finishes for our Clondalkin fighter this time round but as always gaining valuable experience and knowledge with these opportunities.

Louiseā€™s podium World Cup journey was halted in the -50kg PF OC division by a Slovenian opponent in the quarter finals and by Croatia in the LC OC -50kg category.

Next up for the BMA team is an interclub training weekend followed by the Munster Kickboxing Open in April.
